Hi to all Forum Fabbers!
Unfortunately, I have become a victim of a Scam Gang, who try to extort money from people in affluent areas of the UK.
Their style is to create fear with threats of violence; I have had to change my Mobile No, put filters on my email account to draw off certain incoming msgs and deactivated my Facebook account, all on Police and legal advice.
Police are really involved. My work is backing me too, as the bastards have even started to contact my workplace trying to get info on me.
It is stressful to say the least, at present. Even scared of my own shadow at times but they won't get one penny from me!
Will stick around on Forums from time to time, as light relief and to hopefully de-stress.
Hope to get back to normality soon. |

"I hope this ordeal passes soon, be careful out there!
Well done, copying me!
It's good advice."
I know. Police have already advised me on safety measures. They say the violence threats are usually just a bluff, to lean on victims, but all the same, I am watching my back. |

That is terrible, I hope it blows over. I do remember saying about a pic when you were looking for a new role..
Glad your employers are being supportive, it could have been worse it they hadn't been
Good luck |

Good luck with everything and stay strong.
People like that are bullies and usually are all talk.
It's good the police are involved, but If it were me I'd be prepared and ready in case something did happen and I had to defend myself!
Could you move out of the area for a little bit - I know you shouldn't have to, but could you be safer that way? Save you looking over your shoulder every five minutes and living in fear. |
