Not with trains, but have been 24 hours late for a dentist appointment - twice! Luckily, I wasn't charged on both account.

Was sat in my office a few years ago and got a call from a company I'd recently had an interview with, was down to the last two and was preparing my presentation. They asked where I was, obviously my reply was at work, they said that I should have been at my interview.......I'd put the wrong date in my diary, I was a week out! Gutted is an understatement

Got tickets for me a bunch of mates to a black tie ball in our late teens, one of those Gatecrasher ball things where everyone was pretty much guaranteed a snog. All hired our suits, mega excitement only to get to an empty venue, we were a week early! Never lived it down with my mates and had to pay for them all to rehire their suits a week later.

Haha, did that at Barcelona a couple of years ago, ended up at a lovely inland town instead of our resort of Calella 20 miles up the coast

I was 24hrs early for a hospital appointment. Took two hours to get there. Had an odd sense of déjà vu the day after.

Done that before....drove up to the chippy where I worked last year as the weather was a bit crap...Sun came out while I was there...the brain just autopiloted me home on foot and didn't realise till I got home and saw the empty space where the car was supposed to go......doh!

I almost did it again just now, came out of the doctors and started to cross the road to the bus stop. If I hadn't put my hand in my pocket and felt the car key I would have been sat on a bus when the penny dropped, half way home

We were quite lucky as the band , Jethro Tull, were also playing the night we turned up. We bought some tickets from a tout and saw the concert. Cost a bit more than we would have liked though.

Sent the kids back to school a day early!

Mind you, that could just have been wishful thinking.

Sat in a church, for half an hour, trying in vain to recognise someone. Yep wrong wedding.

Hull

I once went to a funeral, didn't know the deceased all that well so dst at back of church. When service was over, went outside to speak to relatives, said my condolences etc and set to walk away, only to meet people I DID know coming into the grounds.

That's when I realised I'd been at the wrong funeral! Senior Moment!
