It's not often I think to myself I would like to be 10 years older but I'm currently watching a documentary on BBC4 about Joy Division and thinking, I wish I was old enough in the 80s to appreciate that band.

True. But not in the same way as the "in the moment" appreciation. And never going to see them play live. |

I'm enjoying life right now. If I was 10 years older I would be planning my death before the dementia sets up shop.
Wanting to be older now so that you could enjoy something back then doesn't make sense as it assumes your tastes would be those you have now. You may well have hated Joy Division back then.
My imagination works well and right now I'd say you're 51 with no hesitation. |
