..and is struggling with the Edinburgh weather, a subject much discussed in Scotland, apparently...and he never kissed the ground, which debate has decreed is due to his 83 yrs. Riviting stuff.
Wonder is he stands up or sits down to pee. |

We are being invaded by Nazi Popes aaaaahhhhhhgggggg!!!!! "
hm, how so suprised?
although many catholics were openly opposed to the nazi movement, the vatican is documented as aiding them in laundering the wealths cribbed from the jewish and providing assistance in an advisory capacity to help members of the reich escape with their new found wealth.

Well history states that quite a few popes had murkey pasts and did all maner of debauched things.
So he isnt on his own. lmao.
And why didnt he kiss the ground ? Pope john paul did this all the time. And he was elderly to.
I have no interest in a pope who has no interest or compassion and understanding of the reAL WORLD

"and he never kissed the ground"
EXCELLENT! - That'll put wee Ecks' gas at a peep.
I remember the last time he visited, there was a huge debate over whether he would, or should, kiss the ground at Edinburgh airport, thus recognising Scotland as a "separate" country.
There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth in the meeja, with both pro and anti lobbies arguing their point.
In the end he did, and the Nationalists were WETTING themselves with excitement.
INTERESTING SNIPPET BREAK -
The last time the Pope came to Scotland, he drew a crwod of 250,000 to Bellahouston Park.
This time they are expecting 80,000. The church have said that it's all ticket this time - to create a more "intimate" experience for crowd.
(If the tickets are being promoted and sold through Harvey Goldsmith inc, there IS a god!)

How can he be accused of laundering Jewish money - according to him there was no Holocaust and 6 million jews who died during the Nazi occupation of Europe did so of natural causes. |

Only 80,000? That's not that many more than a home game at Ibrox. If they can get 50,000 people in and out of Ibrox in a couple of hours several times a month how come Glasgow has to be shut down all day just to get one wee guy into and out of Bellahouston - just across the road? |

HA! So 66% of Scots are Good Without God (org uk) ... nice idea to give non-religious folk a banner to rally behind but when you try and join them, it's:
Annual Student/Young person (under 21) membership £10.00
Annual low income Individual membership £15.00
Annual Individual membership £20.00
Annual low income Couple membership £20.00
Annual Couple membership £30.00
Individual Life membership £250.00
Couple Life membership £375.00
~
Hmmm.. so you have to pay them just to be able to stand with them and say you don't believe in God. Nice scam. |

Two Catholic lads from Glasgow are seeing the sights in Rome. Tired and thirsty after a long day looking at ruins, they repair to a bar. When a request for "two pints of heavy" meets with a look of blank incomprehension, one asks : "What does the Pope drink?"
The barman points to a bottle of creme de menthe (crema di mental?). "We'll have two pints of that, then..."
Next morning they wake up groaning in a shop doorway, covered in cuts and bruises, flecked with vomit. They've wet themselves.
The first to regain the power of speech observes : "If that's what the Pope drinks, no wonder they carry him around in a chair."

Thats 99% of religions. People convert and are absolved of sins. That is the big hook for many, to be relieved of guilt from previous actions. |

OK, I can sort of see that although millions of kids didn't join the Hitler Youth movement! BUT...
Last year, the Pope rescinded the excommunication of the holocaust-denying bishop, Richard Williamson. He has called on Williamson to recant but he has not revoked his re-admission to the Catholic church. A holocaust denier remains within the faith, WITH the Pope's blessing.
He says women are unfit to be priests, childless couples should be denied fertility treatment, embryonic stem cell research is murder, using condoms to stop the spread of HIV is immoral and gay people are not entitled to equal human rights.
That, along with Holocaust denial makes him a criminal in the UK... Why hasn't he been arrested???
I would question anyone who blindly follows a faith that has these beliefs. And before anyone says they are not blindly following, that would mean that you agree with its _iews... |

It's never as simple as that though is it.
If the state comes out and says anything along the lines of 'ABC religion is supportive of crimes against against humanity, homophobia, sexism etc etc and as such it is not welcome within our borders' it will be putting itself in a position that would be difficult to retract from when a far more liberal leader of said religion is elected. We have no idea what is being said behind closed doors between representatives of the govt and the Church (CoE & RC) and we must trust our leaders to do what is right for the country and not respond with knee-jerk popularist reactions. Pressure has been borne on the RC Church to actively encourage the reporting of paedophiliac priests to the local policing authority rather than to an internal religious body.
This particular Pope seems to have lodged his mind firmly in the past as he's totally out of touch with modern issues and has just applauded Britain for it's role in WW2 ffs.
Let's hope the silly old bugger doesn't last too long and a much younger Pope succeeds him for a change. I doubt it though as all the other old decrepit gits waiting for their turn in the big chair will block any younger priests who want to jump the queue. |

"How come t'old lad hasn't fallen victim to Dave and his cost cutting mob??"
Cos he slipped into the country via the back door while Dave is lording it over in Belgium. He'll have buggered off by the time Cam the Man gets back. Mebbe Nick the... will be meeting the Holy Dope and they'll have a little sing song together, break some bread, bit of falling down juice, just to keep Nicky occupied while Dave's in transit. |

The much buggered Clegg was at the Edinburgh gig this morning.
Dave, the one doing much of the buggering of said Nick, will get a shot with ratzo tomorrow. |

"I stayed in an Edinburgh hotel last night, never seen so many dog collars in one place, and that includes fettish nights and crufts! "
You should try visiting Edinburgh during the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in May. There are queues to get into the massage parlours and brothels. |
