After several years break I decided a few weeks ago to carry on with some studying (halfway through the full qualification). In hindsight and after studying for a few weeks I'm really not enjoying it and don't feel I want to carry on now.
My main concern is my boss, whether my boss will be let down or feel I've messed them about. I did say to my boss at the time that I wanted to try but It might turn out to not be what I want.
Would you carry on knowing your heart isn't in it possibly fail because of that and then have a good reason to stop or be honest now. I have paid for my studies so no issue there |

This happened to me recently, I got kind off gently persuaded into a 6mnth, course. By my boss.
I knew as soon as I had committed, I neither had the time, or inclination to continue.
I had to move hell and high water, to get off the course, and pen some serious arse licking, emails, granted work where paying for it.
But if your hearts not in it, it's a waste of your time, and everyone else's... Tutors included.
You'll be disheartened, at the end of the course, if/when you fail. When you could have been doing something, you enjoy,and something productive.  good luck |

How much longer have you got? Would continuing make you seriously unhappy? Will you definitely fail or is there a chance you'd pass?
I will say that no qualification is ever wasted and there could be a time in your future when you'll be very pleased you did this. However if it's making you really miserable stop now. |

Well there's two sittings a year and seven exams left so assuming passed them all then three and half years but I imagine there will be some fails as they are hard so anything up to 5 years. That's the hard thing would be great to do it but I'm just struggling to enjoy it or to. Motivate myself to do it |

A good few years ago I jacked an accountancy course...it wasn't really relevant to the work I was doing and I wasn't enjoying it. My bosses were fine with it when I explained it was seriously stressing me out and I offered to refund the cost but they didn't take me up on it. I'd say Jack it if it's causing you stress, if you've paid for it, your boss can't really say anything I wouldn't have thought  |

I understand. Only you can decide of course but if motivation is a problem possibly it's not for you.

I understand. Only you can decide of course but if motivation is a problem possibly it's not for you.
