...was it all just a publicity stunt? If so it back-fired!

By now we would have boxes of them, and I would regularly be doing my special chocolate fondant puddings, each with a whole creme egg in the centre. This year we haven't bothered after all the fuss about the cheaper-tasting chocolate.

The mother-in-law bought us some last week and I can't tell the difference.

Can you?

I'm beginning to think the biggest scandal is all these people who say they never liked them at all!

I mean, I understand the concept of personal preferences n all, but come on, this is chocolate (sort of)

"I can

The chocolate is more crumbly than it used to be. No bite to it.

Also the 'yolk' is a lot sweeter and sickly.

Not impressed

Now, come on, we're all adult enough to know what the white gooey stuff is. The real question is why is some of it yellow?

Cadburys chocolate egg n spoon eggs. Far superior to Creme eggs. Although I wouldn't kick a Creme egg outta bed.

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

Don't like them now, the chocolate doesn't taste the same, not the same texture either

And the fondant is much sweeter and grainier in texture.

Not good at all.

I don't like the filling, never have, even as a child. They should make hollow ones, but 5 or 6 times bigger, with other chocolates inside...hang on...that sounds familiar....forget that. How about selling the chickens that lay them?

It's back to the traditional recipe from 1971, which was changed in 2008 to dairy milk chocolate for practical reasons. This year, it's gone back to the traditional milk chocolate. That's it! No change in quality.

Just had my first one of the new "batch" - won't be buying them again, and WILL be getting my money back from Cadburys. They taste cheap. Like a "Creme Egg-alike" you can buy in 99p stores. I used to love them - it's a sad day

Herts

I was more annoyed about Dr Pepper changing their original recipe.

I don't drink fizzy drinks but used to like some D.P (Giggedy!) maybe 2 - 3 times a year.

Opened a can recently and knew it had been tainted with aspartame before even looking at the ingredients. I barely even saw the TINY "best ever!" tag in the corner. Tastes vile now, won't be buying it again.
