I'm introducing my daughter to this absolute classic. What one thing will you, or would you, share with your children?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

With all of them it has been to get them enthusiastic about reading. The world is right there with the world of books.

I love it when they ask me for new books.

My son has always been a film addict, started him on Disney films but when he was really young he didn't watch television or it was very limited.

Remember him having the Beatrix potter films

I was just worried once he'd seen the film he wouldn't appreciate the book.

Sometimes the film can get them interested to find out how it all started and gets them reading.

I didn't have anyone read to me as a child but I picked up reading very early and quickly. It saved me from having a very dull and frustrating childhood.

I think I'm just lucky he loves being read to, I was the opposite when I was younger. Never had any interest in books until my teens but once I started I was reading around 4 per week.

I just wanted him to read some proper literature for himself and the films gave him the motivation. I think it all depends on the child. As long as they become interested in reading and love good stories it's a case of whatever works for me

It's a critical plot point but not a sexy scene.

Each child is different and what wakes the love, I read 3 or 4 books at the same times as a child, my daughter read so much it was hard to talk to her at times. By eldest wasn't bothered until I started reading to him...
