yes i agree.having watched all 3 episodes so far its really growing on me ..

ok i have all of breaking bad here to watch but have put off doing so because of the mixed reviews - so much of it and so many say its a drag through the middle seasons - do i need to have watched breaking bad to watch this spin off or will it make sense on its own ?

This spin off is set 6 years before Breaking bad. It tells how Jimmy McGill becomes Saul Goodman. So the only bit you'll lose are the cameos by BB characters, but knowing they're in BB is nothing to do with the story, so far.

Watch Breaking Bad first.

Yes there's one or two episodes that 'drag' through the mid-seasons but overall it's brilliant.
