Why do some people send pictures of photos?

Why is it for some strange reason people send pictures of themselves from a photo? Wouldn't it be simpler just to take a snap rather then take a picture of a picture? |

I don't get the logic of doing that, if you do end up meeting your not gonna be best pleased so honesty should be used. Received a photo today of a photo and the photo looked 20 years old and if that's the best the guy has looked I dread to think what he looks like now. |

And soft ollies here fell for one. Thought it was a recent photo only to find the chap in question looked a lot older and bigger in real life. I politely made excuses and left. |

If someone sends a picture of themselves which is an old pic that they look considerably different in, then the obvious conclusion is that they think they looked better in the picture than they do now |

I added old photos of photos to my profile just to show ppl what I used to look like When younger
I add new photos of myself almost daily
But I'm not trying to imply I was better looking then than now
I think I look hideous any day of the week
I just added them as the ppl that message me asked to see them so I put them up
Hope that clarifies my reasons

Maybe they can't afford a scanner or like the color tones in a real photograph, vs. entirely digital.
Also, if their old bathroom suite was better, they think them sitting on the old toilet, cock out, is a winning look. Their mrs would be suspicious if they installed a new toilet now, for no good reason. |
