Local clinic is better than GP, safe sex is never 100% safe so still need to get checked!!

hiding from cock pics.

Yes I go to my gum clinic every 6 weeks even though I practice safe sex. Condoms can only help but some sti's are oral or skin contact so I like to keep my sexual health as safe as possible.

Google for your local gum. Its free, non judgemental and will give you free condoms too.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Monthly tests for me, through my GP but I go to the GUM if there has been an accident in-between.

My man and I go together every 3-4 months, only bareback with each other so barriers are worn with other people. I think it depends on how often you expose yourself to risk... We go to our local GUM clinic, where we get the whole 9 yards done, just waiting on our results now!

Go to your local family planning or GUM clinic. Every three months is the usual interval for those indulging in 'high risk' sex.

Some STIs can be transmitted by a few drops of seminal fluid on the fingers (chlamydia for example) and Hep B can be present in every bodily fluid including sweat.

People get lulled into a false sense of security by barrier methods like condoms but condoms fail, as can the people using them - 2% failure rate with perfect use rising up to 15% with user errors.

It can take a while for some infections to show up on tests so testing too frequently doesn't achieve anything.

Don't forget to tell whoever you see that you have multiple partners and if you give oral without condoms ask for a throat swab as it's not always standard (there's an antibiotic resistant strain of gonorrhea).

I too go every 3 months as the Dr said it takes three months for things to show up I've also had Hep B injections. Some guys I speak to don't go and rely on other people for their own sexual health.
