I am really into Full Metal Alchemist at the moment but prefer the manga to the anime.

The Full Metal Alchemist is one of my favourites, great stories, great animation, characters are fantastic. Going through a Ghibli Studio phase at the moment.

I love Miyazaki. My favourite is Howl's Moving Castle but I do have a soft spot for Spirited Away as that was the film that introduced me to anime and then manga.

Me to. Shame he hasn't really done anything that great since.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

It's not something I'm into but I'd like to know more about it. I think it might appeal to me.

Love Miyazaki...Whisper In The Heart is our favourite. Or maybe My Neighbours the Yamadas. Or Pom Poko. Or Porco Rosso. Or Kiki's Delivery Service.

Oh, they're all fantastic!

Well, The Wind Rises is better than both of those, and it came out in 2013.

I have yet to watch it. I ought to really. I guess the jury's out in terms of whether it's his best (IMO) until then. He retired in 2013 but has been courting some controversy in Japan with his recent comments about Charlie Hebdo.

Wouldn't say it's his best, but then neither are Spirited Away or Howl. An average Miyazaki / Ghibli film is a joy anyway

Vixen loves the Ghibli films, I've never watched them.

We've watched Death Note and Sword Art Online and now working our way through Fairy Tale, Vixen has also watch Attack on Titan which I need to get round to watching.
