It's not new, they've known about it for years.
Came from a superstition in Africa where tribes chop them off after noticing guys without tend to catch it less.
The foreskin is very susceptible to the virus, or indeed all virus.
It's not really much good cutting risks in half mind, it's like saying smoke 3 cigarettes a day, it cuts your risks but not really by a decent level. |

Sounds a load of utter nonsense to me, as I understood that HIV was transferred through bodily fluids.

I'm assuming this is instead of condom usage, in countries where condom usage is rare or discouraged.

Apparently the foreskin is a breeding ground for the virus. Removal of the foreskin reduces that. Condoms are even better tho. |
