Never had the pleasure of knitted swimwear. . . Had jumpers knitted with one arm slightly longer than the other though. |

"Kids playing footie on the street.
"
Too much traffic these days as there's more cars on the road!
"
Old men hobbling on the built up shoe
"
More advanced surgical techniques/more discreet footwear?
"
White dog shit
"
Largely caused by dogs eating fresh uncooked bones from the local butchers. There's less butchers now due to the number of supermarkets - hence less white dog shit!
"
OMO washing powder
"
Do they still make it?
"
A Rediffusion Telly
"
No longer exists. At the end of the 1980s the company was broken up, The rentals business went to Granada, and the cable network systems were sold to the Maxwell Communications.
"
Fish n Chips wrapped in newspaper
"
Wrapping fish and chips in newspaper fell foul of health and safety watchdogs in the 1980s
"
Glass milk bottles
"
Entirely an environmental thing! The proportion of milk put into glass bottles has fallen from just under 95pc in 1975 to under 4pc in 2012.
"
Chopper bikes
"
No longer made - but worth a lot if you've got one in good nick!
"
Metal dustbins
"
You can still buy them - but the council will only empty their own - so bugger all point!
Sorry - lunch break was dull.

A twirl is like a flake covered in chocloate, you can't suck nothing through a twirl. I could drink hot chocolate through a spira like a straw, very different to a twirl. |

Ever tried explaining the role of a clippy on a bus to your child? She said "why didn't the driver take your money?"
She couldn't get her head around the fact the driver was sat locked in his own little cab on the double deck busses.
She still doesn't get it

I used to like going in the newsagents for a 10p mix!
Or I'd fill up my bag with sweets take it to the counter and say "20p's" worth in there, and they would take your word for it.
Now they empty everything out and count! Buggers! |

Yeah, some of these some people may still have and use but they are more and more rare. I also used dolly pegs, clothes prop, wooden maiden and a ceiling mounted one lowered by rope. But that was 30 years ago. |
