Often wondered whether if natures biological hold on women to, be carefull of pregnancy and fear of std,s, fertility problems, body clock etc.

Women would be more like fellas and more permiscouse and more more overt in courtship and less mognonmenous.

I,m sure many ladies envy this trait about the fellas.

That's a huge generalisation you're making there.

Plenty of women are not interested in monogamy and are some are quite happy being promiscuous. Many of us even have no desire to have children.

I don't think we're genetically designed to want to avoid STIs either. I think that's just common sense. Nothing I've seen has lead me to believe women are more careful about avoiding STIs than men.

And no, it's not a trait I envy in men because I have exactly the same options available to me.

I expect the women who do desire monogamous relationships and children are also quite happy with their choices. If they weren't, they'd make different choices.

It's a very strange outlook to believe that women are somehow chained by nature to look for monogamy and feel envy that men are free to live a different lifestyle.

envy the fellas ... Nope!! For every fella out there in history who been out there sewing their seeds ... There has been a woman taking it... Infact in some cases woman are better ' players' than the men! With independance come choices and power!

I was reading that women are naturally meant to be promiscuous because of our biology.

We don't really have any sign of being fertile (we don't go into heat). Guys don't know when there is any point in fucking us or not, unless they know our cycle. So you have to get to know us to impregnate us.

Also, women go for better looking guys during their fertile days, better looking children increase the chance of those children passing on their genes. We also go for long term partners, who might not be that good looking, so have a predisposed tendency to cheat with better looking guys during our fertile period.

Also, the acidity of the vagina is hostile to sperm, so the more sex you have the better environment for letting more live sperms through. Ok, now this is the promiscuous bit, cocks have a bellend right? Well it just happens to be a good shape for scooping out other guys sperm- after he made it a less hostile environment (see above). So yeah our genitals may have been designed for multiple partners.

So yeah i like all the above, go science.

I would have thought monogamy was something imposed by society - not Mother Nature. Fear of std's is just sensible for any gender.

But it's more advantageous in nature to be promiscuous as you increase the gene pool you're drawing from, and increase the protection of the male of the species to protect your offspring in the chance it might be there's - not that we need protecting :D

Just a thought.

If nature has a biological hold on women it does on men too.

Why is being more like a man better? Whats wrong with being like a woman, I am one after all?

I'd suggest more men are envious of women.

It's much easier for us to get sex,

we're not lead by our genitals to the same extent as some men,

we don't have genitals with a mind of their own that may suddenly decide not to play ball,

we don't need recovery time in the same way men do,

we can frequently carry on past one or more orgasms,

we're more likely to be multi-orgasmic...

I'll stick with being female, thanks!

"Do you mean avoiding becoming pregnant or being careful DURING pregnancy?no mainly before... "

Ok, scientifically, I believe that if anything, we are designed to be more promiscuous than men. The whole not becoming pregnant and avoiding STI's thing is just today's common sense.

We no longer build our own houses and hunt our own food with plenty of time to spare for child-rearing. We work, in a way we are limited to how many children we can have based on financial support and time we can supply.

I do believe it's built into us to be ruthless if I'm honest, but as we are not a sex ruled by our genitals, common sense prevails as we evolve.

Why would I worry? It's not like if I did envy men I could click my fingers and change.

Still, no, I don't envy men at all in the way you suggest and I'd be surprised if may women do.

I was madly promiscuous until I got married and had kids.

Having kids saps every bit of energy you have and more. Sex, and even brushing your hair become a distant memory. Brushing your teeth is "me time". You get totally touched out.

And meanwhile there's all these guys wanting to fuck 24/7 but their "frigid wives" suddenly don't want them as they are half dead and a bit bolloxed.

So you get a mad influx of guys on Fab compared to women.

Or something.

Yep I'm pretty sure the what you describe is the situation in "some" of the sexless marriages we read and hear about on here but of course I must emphasise the word some.

I thought the days in which men and women believed themselves to be unable to understand each other were over but I often read things on here that prove me wrong.

I know a LOT of couples in the above situation. It's very common. My marriage too to a degree but it's something we have worked to rectify.

Pointing out it's a generalisation is hardly "bollocking" him.

Besides, if you look, my statements tend to say 'we are more likely to' or 'we frequently can' rather than suggesting they apply to every woman all of the time.

Which ones do you disagree with, out of interest?

Once again unintentionally if got some peoples backs up.

If a theory or question is to asked I do tend to ask it. I thought that was point of a forum to exchange views and points of views.

On occasion those views aren,t always to your taste, From them we can often learn and grow understanding of human nature.

Does this make someone a bad person???

May we respectfully suggest that by the age of 41 you generally have an idea what views will be acceptable to others and what views will generally get people's back up?

You didn't ask though. You stated how things are, (and got it totally wrong), and then said you're sure women are envious of men, (wrong again).

Perhaps if you are asking a question, phrasing it as a question would avoid any confusion.

That you are "sure" women are shackled by nature but have our noses pressed up against the glass, wishing we could have as much fun as men, is patronising.

Not sure what you mean here Eyeglass but clearly you think that what I say is somehow a dig at you personally because I don't hold the same opinion as you. For the record I have never used physical violence in an exchange of views. I'll bow out of this and any further discussion you start.

Central

I think people evolved before the STIs moved in, so they're likely to have evolved to profit and become prolific from our lifestyles.

We're all different and social norms have restrained a lot of peoples' behaviour, including womens', who've generally been more controlled and limited by laws etc -voting has only been permitted for decades, etc!

As for evolution and pregnancy - it's an evolutionary drive towards becoming pregnant, rather than avoiding it. So I think the op's supposition falls on some major flaws.
