The blimmin Pope is coming to the Uk, right?
We taxpayers have to foot the bill for his visit, right?
Can you go and see him in Glasgow, London or Birmingham?
No, you feckin can't!
Not unless you are a blimmin 'Pilgrim', have a 'Pilgrims' badge and have obtained it through your local Catholic Church!
Excuse me for a goddam minute here, but aren't ALL public places in the UK open to ALL people? And if my taxes are paying for El Popio's visit then I should be able to go and see the bloke if I want to.
(Not that I do wanna go, but I should be ABLE to without going through the feckin RC Church).
Now I know why Jesus said "Turn the other blimmin cheek".. it was so he can rob ya other pocket while you ain't looking! |

I'm a Catholic and sure as hell wont be travelling to meet the pope, why should I after years of the Catholic church covering up all the abuse scandals, allowing perverted Priests to continue or simply move them elsewhere!
If you need a pass I can by all means get you one!
Why would you want to go anyway? Most Roman Catholics have no desire to meet "BENEDICT" - Why because simply he's failed already refusing too listen, listen too the strong Bi/gay/Lesbian people that are part of his flock, more importantly he "REFUSES" to listen or beleive the massive abuse that went on/possibly still does in a church that he is the head of!

" I have to agree with everything you say in your post, im a practising Roman Catholic, and he wasnt/isnt a popular choice but each Diocese is making a huge fuss, got lots of people coming from all over to the various orders of Nuns, priests and monks coming to see him, they have special prayers in funky booklets that must have cost a small fortune to produce, the priest was urging me to collect one after mass, he didn't seem too impressed when i told him i had no wish to participate in prayers for "Benedict".
I will give you my pass if ya want Wishy...may cost ya thou |

i wanted to take kiddo to glasgow to see him for no other reason than i felt it would be educational for her (we are very protestant) and maybe show her how tolerance can work, but because we not catholic we cant and to be honest i think the 20 quid is a bit steep for maybe a family with maw paw and the weans!! religion the biggest money spinner ever!!! x |

Noooooooo! I don't wanna go! Don't make me! I was must saying that IF I wanted to go I couldn't unless I tell the vicar I want to go and grease his palm... sorry... make a donation to his private wine cellar!
Besides, I think my 'naked dance at midnight up on the heath' flyers might not go down too well. |

which is wht the catholic church is the richest of instituations....
I also believe there is a charge for these badges (happy to be corrected on that, but I had heard the figure of £20 banded about at my local church). |

There was a famous bit of graffiti in Liverpool for years and years which, sadly, has now been cleaned off the gable end it adorned.
Someone had painted 'God Save Our Pope' and thenthe Orange Lodge added 'ye' at the end. Even speaking as a 'left footer' it was quality and became a bit of Scouse folklore. |
