bangor

Is very very cruel, evil in fact!

Been suffering the damned PMT for over a week been willing for the time to come on! Normally im bang on time, so doing my maths im was going to be due on on Monday!

Ok so im sat arranging a meet for tonight, just getting to the finer details...go visit the bathroom , and wham, mother nature introduces themself grrr!

Run back to explain what has happened, and no reply.

Exit PMT, enter paranoia! *omg this one is a timewaster* etc

Bah rant over!!

If it bothers you that much research ways to prevent you menstruating , i believe there are quite a few now, as for people thinking you are a timewaster, it seems that word is said a lot on this site, why let it bother you?

As a guy, i find a large red towel is convenient. I have had a woman who did it on her periods. Felt no different to me, just had to withdraw gently and wash yer dick, keep it off the bedssheets. A platonic friend said she could never get enough whilts on her periods.

It's the PMS/PMT that does for blokes.

I had a Mirena coil fitted solely for the purpose of not having periods. I cant be missing out whilst on a period. Everythings settled down now and i havent had a period since mid July.

Thing is, with a coil and such, are you delaying periods until later on in life. I undrestood that women had a certain number of eggs to use. So if so, they're gonna be used one day? maybe not.

You do not "delay" the periods, you surpress them. Quite different!

And yes, the ovaries will loose the eggs over time, with other changes in the body, a woman's chance to get pregnant diminishes over time.

You dont build up periods until such a time as the damn breaks and you bleed about 100 pints of blood.

With a coil type contraceptive it suppresses ovulation in some women so no eggs are made. It does make the lining of the womb very very thin though to prevent implantation. As there is no building up of the womb lining, there is no blood to come away each month.

I am not certain if there is sufficient hormone released by the Mirena coil to surpress ovulation, need to check.

I wasn't suggesting you save up a 100 pints of blood, to release all in one flood, though some have me fooled.

I understood that you don't "make" eggs, the total number you have available are determined pre-birth, to be released usually once per month, hence the build up of fluids to receive each one.

What like when you have your baby checks they say right little miss so and so you got one million eggs and your not going to stop bleeding until you have used them all up

"I am not certain if there is sufficient hormone released by the Mirena coil to surpress ovulation, need to check. "

there isnt usually. The hormone is levonegestrel and in a minority of women it will suppress ovulation but on the whole it just prevents implantation by the womb not thickening and the cervix thickening so the sperm cant enter in the first place.

Apparently in "some" women, it could stop ovulation. However, the article I read did not give any indication of the % of women where this occurs.

Blimey I learn more here about my own method of contraception than in the leaflet the doc gave me.

Got to say though, why the heck would you tell a potential meet that you just got the decorators in??? This is someone you want to fuck, not your bloody husband

Im not sure what the percentage is but its a small minority. The combined contraceptive pill - containing oestrogen and progestogen will prevent ovulation. Im gonna shut up now, its all sounding too much like work

Id tell them if that was the reason i couldnt meet them, i guess women that have periods have to arrange meets around their periods so would mention which times they couldnt meet due to them. Dont think periods are a taboo subject

Perhaps not a taboo subject but I've seen profiles that have updates at the top telling folk that although they can meet, their 'downstairs' is out of action till....then they give a date!!! I mean come on, info overkill perhaps?

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Just certain things I personally don't feel the need to share with strangers!
