I'm now feeling rather inspired after watching "The Worlds Fastest Indian" on Netflix.
It's a great film showing that no matter how old you are and no matter what the odds against you are, you should always follow your dreams. It's my "go to" movie when I feel like life is dragging me down.
So as the subject says, what's the most inspiring movie you've seen and why? |

Wolf of Wallstreet
I actually think the guy was smart.
He's been convicted of fraud on a mass scale granted...thats not good...but it takes a fsir amount if genius to pull it off at that scale. |

Wall Street

Beautiful mind, because he overcomes a lot!
Wolf of Wall Street - Jordan Belfort is fascinating and I admire his drive and confidence. His seminars motivate me.
Wall Street - I love to make money! |

"Seven Pounds is one of the only films I have welled up to.
(just smashed any future tough guy image I could have!!)
When We Were Kings and Senna, truly remarkable pieces of film making."

Senna is certainly one of my top 5 films. The only film that made me cry. It's that scene at the end where the helicopter just hovers over Senna as his life ebbs away in the car that gets me. The greatest Formula 1 driver ever! |

Many of my favourites are already listed but if I can add two more?
The Searchers....not a John Wayne fan but the story of a relentless chase, hatred and finally forgiveness....Josey Wales but 20 years prior.
The Illusionist. Norton is brilliant. Sewell plays the pantomime villain to perfection. The atmosphere and the final twist are perfectly balanced. Should have won a hatful of Oscars |

That was a weird ending to the film, as people left the cinema everyone was quiet as if they had just left an actual funeral.
Schindlers list,
the flying Scotsman
road, Joey Dunlop story,
12 years a slave,
To name but a few |

It's not a movie but House of Cards. I liked the old BBC one with Francis Equrt. The new one with Kevin Is good too.
Just the sheer brilliance and implementation of Nicolo Makhavelis - The Prince!

Ghandi and invictus most inspiring. Not my favourite films but most inspiring that there's hope for human nature when people can behave so forgiving and inspirational after being treated so badly.

The Goonies.
Yes really The Goonies. True frienship, adventure and getting one over the money grabbing corporate types that want to bulldoze the world for shopping malls and golf courses.
Oh and not forgetting the Truffle Shuffle!

For me it's goodwill hunting - love the last scene when Ben affleck chaps his door then has a quiet smile when he realises he's gone onto better things -
anyone can be anything no matter your history ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |
