It's where you calculate not only your calorie intake but also split that into a percentage of fat/carbs/protein and record everything you eat without going over the totals for each one.

Yes, rigorously.

Protein and carb G's are more important to me currently with my bulk. As long as I know I'm getting enough protein to build muscle im fine. But with the amount of protein and carbs I do consume my calories are always high.

Once I cut I'll worry about calories

I hope I've done mine right. I thought I was eating a fair bit of protein before but now I've gotta do 137 grams a day..

I'm sure you have. General rule with building muscle is 1-1.5g of protein per lb of body weight.

I've worked it as 1g per pound. 1300 cals as my thingy rate came out as 1800 so 500 deficit..

Just been sat tweaking mine for ages.. I'm 50 cals and 17g of protein short..

Think I need to rethink this into 4 or 5 smaller meals. Urgh.. I struggle to eat 3 normally!!

I don't. I done it for so long I kinda know. I eat close to it, my Viking genes are pretty good when it comes to muscle building so don't need to be on the number, give or take 10g of my total 240g of protein aday

Yeah that makes sense. I'm not one for breakfast so I normally just have a banana so need to try and get a protein hit first thing to get some out the way but not sure what to have. I'm not just eating chicken all day. Eggs are nice but not very high x

It all sounds chinese to me. No idea what you mean. I'm very poor at eating. Nothing is ever planned. I just open the fridge and see what's there.

YEs that's good my breakfast is usually around 700kcal or so, bananas aint to bad either to start the day with but yes eggs are good as well for the fat intake we need.

To me a 'Macro' is a routine to run a series of steps in an application

"What is it ? "

A macro (short for "macroinstruction") in computer science is a rule or pattern that specifies how a certain input sequence (often a sequence of characters) should be mapped to a replacement output sequence (also often a sequence of characters) according to a defined procedure.

I remember when you didn't need a degree in mathematics and home economics to be fit. Might go back to just eating fish and chips and wearing a slendertone at bed time.

I'm just starting mr tatts on a macro diet to loss weight . He's having 1700 Cals per day on a 50.40.10. Is there any apps that can help me set up his meals per day ? I've got all of tomorrow's meals to sort out as he's out until 10pm tomorrow.

Finding this a bit stressful !!
