So ordered something of da t'internet. Got told it would be coming today, and due to someone telling me wrong information it's now coming on Wednesday.
Yeah, I haven't had a telly in over 2 years and what's a couple of days extra, but I was looking forward to it. |

I used to work for a haulage company, I used to have to lie lots on the phone.
Sometimes the tracking on your parcel will say out for delivery, when it's sat in the depot. When it doesn't get delivered, you'll get an excuse saying the driver broke down etc!
Best advice is to call and hound your delivery depot! Or collect from there yourself, more pressure you put on the better your chances!

I ordered a DVD from Amazon. Received an email yesterday morning informing me my DVD was out for delivery. I ignored it, because it was a Sunday and nothing is delivered on a Sunday. Received an email about 3 hours later saying my DVD had been posted through my letterbox. Yeah right, I thought as I opened the porch door. And fuck me, there was my DVD!
I was especially impressed 1, because it was Sunday and 2, because it was a pre-release and not available until today! |

postmen are not allowed to leave parcels now unless message on label - lost count of how many things ive added a message to to say ok to leave round the back by the blue bin -(the people i bought off dont bother to mark up the parcel) then had to go to the sorting office which isnt nearby at all with lousy parking - i end up going on my day off at 7 am - to pick up stuff that could have been left - then i get moaned at for negative feed back - |

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire) |
Try living up north (and I mean north east scotland) we get shafted paying extra delivery charges on loads of things, and slow service, and even some couriers refusing.

"I'm waiting for my new dishwasher to be delivered today, sometime between 7am and 7pm " aww poor you think of the delivery driver who will have typically have left his depot around 6am will have upto 26 other deliverys to do today all if whom will expect to be priority .a large number will not have removed the old appliance or measured properly some will change there mind after you have unpacked the appliance .they will have the transport manager on the phone geeing them along because customers are moaning at him . Then he has to get back to the depot unload the scrap appliances and packaging refuel the truck hand in his paper work and only then head home probly around 8pm . But don't worry your in your nice warm stress free house watching telly and drinking tea |
