the good lands, the bad lands, the any where you may want me lands |
Been out this morning free running Marshall up the fields and as ever came across plenty of other dogs being walked. All of which were with their Lady ownders, is dog walking mainly a past time for women? And are there any signals that are passed between dog walkers....like the single TV dinner in your shopping trolley when out shopping in Waitrose?

The only code around here seems to be dog walkers letting their dogs run around like wild animals, and shouting 'it's fine, he/she's friendly' as they run over and set my dog off going mad |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
All the dog owners seem to know each other by the name of the dog. I see little groups that regularly meet up when I go out with my sister and the dog (they know everyone).
I haven't seen any secret signals but then all of them seem to be attached to other people and get togethers are to do odd jobs for each other.

I take my dog out for very long weekend walks on the beach, Saturdays and Sundays.
(Except the last couple of weeks as she's on heat for the first time and we don't own a doggy chastity belt!)
There's usually a good mix of men, women, couples and families - all say hello and I've probably had dozens of random conversations about all sorts - very similar to the idle chit chat that goes on at swingers clubs.
I'd say that after swingers dog walkers seem the most likely to engage in meaningless chat with complete strangers.
