Anyone got a tips on selling stuff at a boot fair?. I got loads of unwanted stuff i need to get rid of, and thought a boot fair would be the best way. Anyone know the regulations on selling electrical stuff at a boot fair? Do you need to get it tested before you sell it?.

Will there be someone where at the boot fair people can test that the electrical equipment works, as i personally wouldnt buy anything electrical from one.
As for your other stuff just make sure its well displayed and always add at least £3-£4 onto what you want for the stuff cause everyone barters |

best advice i can give you... thermals then loose layers as its bloody cold at silly oclock in the morning!!
as someone else said , the pro car booters will be pouncing as soon as you park sometimes a polite piss off is needed to get them to move so u can start up!
if you have a foldable gazebo take it in case it rains, or big plastic sheets.
dont ask silly money but dont accept silly offers either and remember one mans trash is another treasure!
set your stall out nice and make sure everythin clean and be polite and approachable and link sale where u can ie buy a jacket get shoes or that for extra quid or say 4 items for £5 but most of all have fun ! xx |
