I had it for 4 years a while ago, when I was huge. I was non - weight bearing on one foot, then the other then back again. I had all sorts of things including ultrasound. I wore specially made trainers everywhere, to work, to weddings, with pencil skirts.
One day, after years of agony and these ugly trainers I woke up, stood up expecting pain as usual to find it had gone.
I've had a few flare ups, when I've spent the night barn dancing, for instance but ultimately what helped was the loss of four stone. |

I had it in both feet but one it went from in just a few months, the other?
OMG the pain is horrid I tried most things but not injection yet.
The thing I find best is if in pain walk down stairs on your toes the stretch helps lots. I also use Magnesium Flakes in either the bath or foot bath and soak fir 15-20 mins this seems to help for a time.
I feel for all that suffer |

I used to get this a while ago and put it down to my size plus short calf muscles. Luckily it went away by itself and I haven't had any flare ups which is good as I know it will stop my running and I would not want that! |

One of the best treatments for plantar fasciitis and heel pain is regular stretching of the leg muscles.
Optimum results are gained by stretching for a few minutes four times each day.
A splint worn at night can help too, as can stretching out the feet and ankles gently before getting out of bed every morning. |

Stretching the calves is particularly important. |

I suffered wit it from being stood on hard surfaces, for very long periods of time. I bought inserts that can be used in different shoes, which has helped, but I have also changed my work method, so I am not stood in the same position on a hard floor for too long. I just keep moving as much as I can, even if its just rocking on my heels. I know your pain. Sometimes I couldn't walk in the mornings and had to tiptoe round the house till it eased off. |
