Is the Koran thread banned? I only ask after the latest announcement by the good pastor and his friend and the fact that three protestors have been shot dead in Afghanistan.
Shall wait to see if this gets pulled before commenting more |

Both book burning threads have been deleted it appears. All got a bit heady in there so it did. Sad. I was hoping they'd remain until tomorrow and after the books got burned. |

that is a shame. apparently the burning has been 'suspended' until further notice. I was amazed at the pastor announcing his phone number on the news then...apparently so Imam can call him, but I doubt he'll be able to get through even if he wanted to |

Personally how people can get worked up about burning some paper & ink, whether you're for or against it, is pure fucking idiocy as far as I'm concerned.
This is why we're still having goddamn wars, because of a bunch of people who haven't got past the playgroung stage!

We need some new religions founded by women, that way we'd have more lovin' than fightin'! |

i'm beginning to wonder why my hindsight deserted me...already.
I was just taken aback by the pastor giving the imam 2 hours to call with the intention to discuss moving the proposed site for the mosque away from the current proposed site.
He really does think he is in a position to cause the shots without any consideration for the consequences.
there has already been attacks on nato bases in afghanistan resulting in protesters being shot at and loss of life..proving everyones fears |
