I'm guessing they would, they used too
I have a medical license that has to be signed off and renewed every 3 years but sure they reminded me about the updated photo but that was 6 years ago, might have changed in that time. |

"I've moved so flipping often I've not yet had one for ten years! "
It doesn't matter how many times you move as that is only an address change, the 10 years is from its issue, basically to update your photo. |

"Do they send you out a reminder after 10yrs or do you have to re apply with no prompt?
I never received one"
Nor me and when I moved house, I changed my address and still have the old paper license |

I'm not aware that they send out reminders, in fact I seem to remember a case where a woman was stopped and her licence was out of date, they impounded her car because without a licence her insurance was nullified, she went to court over it and lost her claim, the court ruling that it was her responsibility to maintain her licence and to make sure she was within the law

I have had a licence for my current address for nearly thirty years. No photo, no need to update. I'm not paying to change it to a photo licence. |

"ive still got an old paper one runs out when ime 70, or are they changing that now "
I don't think anything has changed. If you never had a photo licence, there is no legal requirement to update.I also have only ever had a paper only licence. |

They sent me a reminder but you still have to send your paper counterpart as well,I don't know why I bothered with photo one,it means bugger all,the paper part is more important |

Did you get the paper one back? I didn't. Not that it was full or anything either. |

They did with mine. I went to my local post office once I had the reminder and they took my new PIC for me and sent it from there cost me an extra fiver I think. |

They wanted to Charge me £20 just to have some expired Points removed from my licence..
Never Paid it at the time - Then Found out if you Move for a few weeks then they Delete all expired Points from the licence they send you to your New Address .. |

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire) |
I've recently renewed mine - reminder letter sent about 6 weeks prior to expiration.
New photo done and already card returned, and paper returned, with no points anymore - yay! (they were about 4.5 years old now) |

That's incorrect. If only the photo licence is out of date that's all. You still have a licence to drive till you reach 70 and your insurance is still valid it's simply the photo is out of date! |
