It was exactly 21 years ago today, that I went down on one knee, in the back of a horse-drawn carriage, in Brugges, and asked the love of my life to marry me.
Naturally, ever the romantic, she declined.
Fortunately, with the help of copious quantities of Belgian Chocolate, I persuaded her to reconsider.
What past Valentine successes or failures stick in your mind?

One valentines day my bf at the time took me to Stratford I woke up to champagne and strawberries and a trail of rose petals to the bath and rose petals in the bath. Funny thing is we split up valentines day the year after |

26 years ago today soppy Mr W turned up at my flat after work with a lovely bunch of flowers. I didn't have a Valentine's gift or even a card for him so I whisked him off to the bedroom for an unforgettable shag. Our son was born 41 weeks later. |

In a 30 year relationship I got the grand total of 0 cards or presents for Valentines day from my husband. Not even a happy valentines day. So you could say all of them were a bit crap |
