Have you considered that your meet may well have suitable answers to these questions?
She won't have as she's from Wolverhampton
We are meeting half way "
Wolverhampton? Wow, she'll love Leicester then.
My apologies for asuming she was from Leicester. |

Depending on what you think you'd both like, the cathedral grounds have just been revamped along with the Richard III exhibition and both worth a visit. On the same road is the Guildhall which dates back to the 14th century.
Near there are the Lanes, full of independent, quirky shops and places to eat and also look out for the silver arcade, a Victorian building that has just been restored to its glory. On the second floor is a lovely little cafe with excellent food and a shop called Cocoa Amorè where you can see them making the chocolate they sell and get free tasters. They also make excellent hot chocolate so I'm told.
The is also the Highcross, a typical, boring shopping centre, full of shops you see in every other city.
Abby park is not far away with some lovely walks as is castle park, the site of Leicester castle and steeped in history.
There is a cinema in the Highcross if you fancy a grope in the dark |

Oh yes, the Jewry Wall, Holy Bones and quite a number of real ale pubs. Then there's New Walk, Allandale road shops and there is some stunning architecture to be discovered.
Victoria park, Queens Road cafe boutiques and further out are places like Belvoir Castle and many very old villages full of character and pubs.
There is a bird sanctuary in Desford where the birds fly free and not far from there is Market Bosworth, a town mentioned in the doomsday book. From there, you'll find Bosworth battle field and antique shops, steam train lines and more pubs. |

"Take her round the fish market!
You've not been in to town lately, have you mate. "
I've avoided it for years. I'm a country boy, the city has no appeal. |
