the thing is what might be rubbish to you might be someone elses comfort, or have a huge meaning or personal meaning to them, yet you slate the song / artist because its not your taste, music means so much to different people and that the meaning of my post not to slate. |

My set up is tuned down to 33Hz and will be pushing out 143DB, going even louder next week once it's rewired down to 0 guage 
As much as I love bass music, nothing will replace enter shikari as my favourite artist |

I love music.. it drives me.
On my own, its time to reflect.. time to dance.. time to headbang.. time to fucking scream and shout.. time to chill.. time to give it large..
Some sad (or possibly more precisely - morbid songs) will make me happier, because they bump me out of the mood knowing that someone else has been there before
Conversely, some 'happy or poppy' songs in my wrong mood can make me feel down, because it reminds me of the state I am not in.
With someone else or a group of people, songs can stick in my mind in certain moments, like an Aural snapshot in my mind.......
Much like a great sex session with a guy wearing a memorable aftershave, music creates similar memories for me.
As long as we have 2 sticks to beat together and a voice, we will never be poor. |

If my TV blew up I am not sure I would replace it but if my docking station did then OMG!
It would give me an excuse to go out and buy that Bose one.
Or my play lists...what if they were deleted for ever? In fact, I accidentally deleted a play list and I was gutted. I had been adding to it for years. Luckily I found it again. I was genuinely upset about that. It was my 'Hormonal' playlist. Irrational or what?
Music and specific pieces of music (a little like smells) trigger memories for me. I hear Avenged Sevenfold's 'A Little Piece of Heaven' and I am instantly taken back to my son's 21st.
