Is the TV finding the router?

If so, have you entered your wifi password correctly?

Any upper case letters in your password?

Have you tried reseting the router?

(turn it off, leave it for a few seconds then switch it back on)

Is the Wifi on the TV switched on?

That's likely the problem.

Walls and floors can often weaken the signal.

Try considering a WiFi booster or running an Ethernet cable.

(I hard wired CAT5e Network ports into my house when I renovated it 5 years ago before moving in. Much faster connections too)

It's pretty pointless having a booster if it's located with the router - kinda defeats the object.

It needs to be further away, but still within range of the routers signal.

If your smart tv worked with your old router, and the only thing that's changed is the router... You need to make sure the router is working.

You can buy wifi plugs, they plug into the mains socket and transmit your internet through that via ethernet cable providing all the sockets are on the same circuit, really easy to set up and not that expensive any more, if you have bad walls etc then that would probably be your best bet

Press and hold the WPS button on your router for at least two seconds. Once your wireless icon flashes amber, you’re ready to go online and the search on the TV should find you network then all that's left is to put your password into the TV when prompted. If this doesn't work try another wireless device to see if routers at fault.

Beyond the shadows.

Have you got the latest firmware for your Samsung TV/router.

Is the router wifi in range?

Have you tried changing the wireless channel?

Have you got a maximum number of devices allowed to connect limit set on your router?

If your phone has Internet when held next to the television, then the fault is likely to be in the TV set.

If it worked with your old router then go into settings and reset everything it may be looking for the old router.

sounds silly but some systems are not backwards compatable wireless n or the other versions of wireless connections b and g

also turning your modem can improve your signal so it may pick it up much better

sometimes in settings in the modem you can change them lower to be more compatable to other devices

I know fuck all about such things but sounds like you need to delete the old network and look for the new one, or get a virgin box instead.

Wifi can be broadcast on two bands 5ghz and 2.4ghz. Try switching the TV to 2.4 only as this gets better penetration through walls etc.
