Mr.
I am, lady jools is always complaining that I never just do something I have to analyse every thing before I make a decision.
Buying a car takes month's of research.
Changing phone's is a similar story.
If someone says no.it can't just mean no to me it has a deeper and usually more insidious meaning.
It's so frustrating but it is just the way I am.
Even this post took about three re writes before I thought it ok.
So are you the devil may care
Compulsive type.
Or like me everything has to be thought and mulled over for ages before anything is decided? |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I'm an over-thinker and have set up Over-Thinker's Anonymous. I should resurrect it but I'll have to consider whether that would interrupt the flow of your thread and just remind those in recovery that they are really over-thinkers.

Do it, no don't.
But if you do will people ignore this thread? But if you don't will they wonder why...........
You see nothing is easy |

Problem solved as I think the thread has been lost in the mists of time. A search produces no results.

I do over think things, probably more so before. Have relaxed a bit. But I have my moments of reading into things, mulling things over and not making decisions, putting them off for months sometimes. |

Yes and no!
NO : I make seemingly big decisions really quickly and for example, I know what I want when I buy even bigger things like a car or even a house. Some would say I am (always have been) a risk taker in that way.
Yes : Then again, I like "thinking for the sake of it" in other areas like morality, values, dilemmas, relationships, languages and their different ways of expressing the culture of the linguistic community etc. I can ponder for ages over what made a person act in a particular way on a particular occasion and I really enjoy that reflective stuff.
So, partly overthinker and partly spontaneous to the extreme |

Not me I am afraid.
As a carpenter job's take far longer than they should, as I have to consider every possible way of doing a job before I do it.
Last year we purchased a new tent it took me weeks to find the right one, even after I was still thinking if I had made right decision. |

I think I overthink insignificance sometimes and underthink really significant stuff
I guess it's easier to worry about nothing than to really have something to worry about |

Isn t that interesting.. how we are different in our approaches?
My OH also spends a very very long time over decisions what mobile/ car/ holiday whereas I can just decide on that in less than 5 minutes. In fact just changed my mobile Sunday afternoon in this way. |

"Impulsive with some stuff and carefully research others.
It's a dangerous, unpredictable combination. Dictated by the situation but mostly my mood. "
