Racking my brains trying to remember.
I once met Chris Evans - a very long time ago when he was still on The Big Breakfast - met him at a Hospital Radio Charity match.
Also met Nik Kershaw when he visited Essex Radio for an interview about 16 years ago.

I used to go to the same gym as John Nettles (Bergerac, Midsomer Murders) and often found myself in the changing rooms or communal showers at the same time as him... also had a pee next to top cello-botherer Julian Lloyd Weber, and another next to BBC 6music DJ (and, back then, musician) Mark Riley. Met Johnny Marr from the Smiths and Man City, and Yaya Toure when he signed my son's shirt. Through work I've also met Neil and Glenys Kinnock, Aang San Suu Kyi, Peter Mandelson, Anna Friel, Lewis Hamilton, Murray Walker, Stirling Moss, Ross Brawn...
none of these were 'meets' in the Fab sense though, obviously! |

I used to see a lot of famous peeps out and about when I worked in the City.
Nearly bumped into Ben Elton (literally) outside the Virgin Megastore in Oxford Street once.
Walked past Griff Rhys Jones on Charing Cross Road.
Got a smile of Cleo Roccos outside my office.
But I'd hardly class any of these encounters as having 'met' them.

I enjoyed a burger in bournemouth, found out the owner was the brother of a famous football star, I don't follow football so it made no odds to me who he was. But the lamb burger was to die for! |

Seen quite a few famous folks about Edinburgh during the festival over the years.
The two I remember most were the guy who played Sanjay in Eastenders,as our paths crossed on the street I said "owhite saaaaanj" in a heavy cockney accent and if looks could kill.....he was NOT happy being addressed in such a manner pmsl!
The other time it was another Eastender, much more famous than humpty sanj lol.None other than nasty Nick Cotton!
I was waiting for a bus on Princes St when I clocked him walking by,not sure it was him I called out his (real) name which I somehow remembered...."John"...he turns round and I'm all like "ayyyyy, nasty Nick!"
He took it well though and gave me a big sly grin n a nod before walking off....diamond geezer |

Being perfectly honest, more than I can be bothered to list as I used to work on the engineering side of the professional recording industry.
But there are some that stand out...
Richard Branson at the very beginning of the conception and birth of Virgin. Thought he was a prize Muppet who didn't have a clue what he was talking about
Laurence Olivier who at the time was having a go in the seat of the Engineering Project Managers job at the then still being built South Bank Theatre. Didn't realise who he was at the time, so I called him an idiot and demanded to see the real Project Manager
Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull band) who needed some upgrades done on his mixing desk. Couldn't afford the quote so he offered to work as my assistant to reduced cost. Bloody nice bloke, and good bloke to work with too.
Guy Fletcher (Became keyboard player with Dire Straits and record producer) I sacked him from his position as a trainee engineer. He only got the job because I was working for his dad at the time.
But the most fun ever was when I was working away from home and staying in the same hotel as the whole cast of Hi-Di-Hi, every night for two weeks was party night till 3am And if anyone is wondering, yes Su Pollard is just as bonkers off stage as on LOL
Happy days |

Came over, shuck our hands, chatted with us and the kids
Offered us free tickets to his show. He was a true gent
