Suicidal Goldfish

One of my goldfish lept out of the tank last night,through a small opening where I pop their food in,quite difficult id have thought.

Is my goldfish depressed?

btw I saved her n popped her back

Thank god this has a happy ending!!!! Was almost too scared to read it.

Perhaps the fish has a spirit of adventure?

One of my sisters school goldfish did that when we looked after them in the holidays!! They didn't have a lid and we were sat round the dinner table eating Sunday dinner and heard a slap. It had jumper out and was flapping around on the hallway floor!

Move the tank into another room, Its obvious the Goldfish hates the Wallpaper

I blame the TeleVision, ours have never been the same after watching Nemo!

goldfish mostly jump when they are in a tank which is too small or overcrowded.poor water quality is another reason.Google it for solutions!

nah very clean large tank it was the water level me thinks,or the wallpaper

Its normal when i give my tank a good clean and move them to an open container the jump out....lesson learnt put a lid on it now lol

eh there is a lid on it with a small gap to feed them through,it was the water level,,,,,,,,or the wallpaper

Water may look clean , you cannot see nitrates / nitrites ect

spot on! worth Googling as a number of environmental reasons.they are not content if they do this.sorry!
