A principle from the days of my higher education, when out socialising (on such a meagre student grant budget.)

The GUE principle, GO UGLY EARLY.* To be sure of pulling before a night was over, it did what it said on the tin.

The best part though, is i would never have known about it if one of my dates hadn't told me what they were doing.
