For ease of selection some people associate those 'staying in the area' as those who are married and playing away while they are on business. Whether this is the case or not is irrelevant to them. They make a snap judgment on the information available to them and previous experiences.
Then there is the 'getting to know you' stage. You say you always meet for a social first but how does that work if you are there for one night only?
It's not impossible to find people interested in what you are offering. I used to meet people just passing through, but it will be harder. |

Do you start looking for potential meets as soon as you know where you'll be? Or do you sit in the bar hoping to catch someone's eye then message some woman at 1120pm because you struck out?

Some people don't like meeting guys who are working away and staying in a hotel, i always feel it is more likely that they are cheating on a partner .... i know thats not always the case but in my experience it is often true. |
