Australia!!!!!!!
they say it is a special one off invite to celebrate 60 years of eurovision... but have also said that if they win they will get to host it the following year....
the irish are going to be pissed... they have been banking on our 12 points for years! |

They did indeed contact me to request that I sing a Sandy Shaw song. You may be disappointed as I politely pointed out that my presentation and tastes have since changed a little. I did proffer a naked thrash metal version of Fernando sung into a dildo-shaped mircrophone. It is currently under debate but finding a watershed spot in many countries can be difficult. Nothing to do with my voice sounding like a 50-a-day strangled cat. |

I was thinking on reading this,could anywhere be further away from Europe than Australia?
Then remembered something else I read this week,50% of Australians have Irish ancestry so win win for the Irish |

not convinced they'll get anywhere to be honest. eurovision is a cultural event and the fact that they haven't developed a culture in over 200 years would mean that even a small pot of yoghurt would probably beat them in this contest |
