Did you ever once dislike someone you now consider a friend? What changed your impression of them?
One of my closest friends on here, I never really had time for initially.....now I love her to bits...funny old world....the feeling was mutual btw. |

Yeah. My best mate, and my rock. I used to hate her at school. She would waddle. She was a big girl so she just sort of swayed as she walked and always bumped into me. And she smelled like cat pee. Like all the time. I hated her so much that I said she had 'flab canals', her fat rolls would create creases where sweat would collect and I said she lost her cat in between the rolls and the cat pissed itself so the wee just flowed through the flab canals. I really didn't like her. And now she's my best friend and I love her to pieces. |

"I start off liking everyone and then slowly go off them all as I get to know them.
Apart from you Femme, and possibly View and of course anyone reading this that is offended. But that's it."
I start off disliking everyone and keep it like that and like you I make an exception for anyone who reads this |

It's not often I dislike someone. I try not to make judgments on what people write on here. I can forgive people who wrong me very easily in real life,no one on here I haven't met is that important to me |

Just out of curiousity does she know that you used to say/think that about her? |

"I'm a cunt.
Did you decide that after reading your previous post again? "
I think she's mentioned it once or twice on other posts.
To answer the OP yes there are people I have not liked a long time ago and now I do. Mostly the 'in' girls from school who were so up their own arses and used to be quite nasty to everyone. I've seen a lot of them recently and they are lovely now. |

Apart from my step mum who I initially disliked because I was young and saw her as a marriage breaker (we've been great friends now for many years) I think if I don't like someone on first impression, that's how it stays...of course, everyone on here are complete and utter arsewipes (no offence) |

Why does keep your friends closer but your enemies closer spring in my head when I read your post..."

If I (f) take against someone, there is usually a reason. The one time I was proved wrong was a lady who I just took an instant dislike to and vice versa.
Now we are the best of mates and I have had the privilege of being the godmother to her lovely daughter, who is the daughter I never had.
What changed, funnily enough, neither of us can pinpoint it |

I can't ever remember having taken a dislike to someone then subsequently having a change of heart. I am more likely to be ambivalent about people than actively disliking them. However I have had a couple of friends when I was younger that I ended up disliking for good reason. As for me, most people end up realising I'm a twat eventually, if they don't cotton on immediately |

A guy I used to go to school with, we never saw eye to eye and even came to blows on more than one occasion. I even broke his nose
Then we grew a pair of bollocks and I ended up being his best man |

Its very rare if I don't like a person ..... There must be a good reason for it too. And that's it really I would not change my mind about them .. I can only think of 3 I don't really like. |

My best mate is a friend of 30 years. We couldnt stand each other at first as he was a right gobby, cocky fucker. It turns out we were too similar.
I am Godfather to his kid (who has the same name as me) and I would do anything for either of them! |

No, but then generally it takes a lot for me to strongly dislike someone. I may find someone irritating, but then I irritate a lot of people so just take that as part of life and don't judge the person on that.
Obviously anyone who disses leopard print is beyond the pale, though. |

Yes.. Some people i thought werent so great and turned out to be very close friends!
Then i have made the mistake of liking people and then seeing their true colours and realising they were a knob all along |

On here, most people, even those who possibly think I hate them at worst tend to create a feeling of indifference. And the liklihood is if I meet them in the flesh I am easily swayed.
In real life I'm much the same. Life's too short. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I can't think of anyone I have actively disliked and changed my mind about.
I did meet someone that I found to be the most annoying person to be around. The feeling was mutual. Somehow we fell in love even though neither of us ever expected that would be possible.

"I don't like anyone.....ever...."
Same. I was introduced to a new start in work " This is Jules. She doesn't like anyone until she gets to know you ... then she'll hate you". I couldn't really argue as that's probably quite accurate. |
