The weather! So unpredictable it is refreshing!
The smell, whether it is in the city or countryside. I have even grown to like the smell of drains and organic fertilisers! ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

"Well while i was away last week the thing i missed most was the fact we dont let sodding dogs in restaurants. Nothing more of putting than sitting having a lovely meal with a dog sat on a chair at the next table staring at you "
I suspect a number of divorced men may agree with you. Ooops just seen the word next. |

Black pudding and square sliced sausage.
I believe some nations now have specially trained sniffer dogs at points of arrival to ensure no such contraband enters their country.
Contrary to popular belief such seizures aren't destroyed but sold at extraordinary sums to ex-pat Scottish communities. |

"chicken and a biscuit is the most fantastic thing....."
that must be a USA thing because it just sounds so wrong...
however, in the interests of international relations I would be happy to give it a go! ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

it may sound wrong... but by golly it tastes so right....
was trying to work out a way of explaining what a biscuit is....
a "biscuit" is like a bread that is made with buttermilk and baking power/soda rather then yeast..... looks like a scone...

US Biscuit - best description is savoury scone
Part of the fast food breakfast staples, sausage and biscuit, which means a patty of sausage meat (very peppery) in the middle.
A lot nicer than the breakfast muffins.
Ex-wife from Oklahoma so well versed in the oddities of US/UK food. |
