flirting or just friendly?

(the female part speaking)

I'm a foreigner and just moved to the UK two years ago.

it happens to me quite often that bus drivers call me "my love", "darling" and so on...

I don't really have a problem with that.

I am just wondering: are they flirtatious or is this just friendly?

(in switzerland it would be clearly flirting.)

It's generally just friendly and it's more common with older people talking to women younger than them.

Have they said 'sweet meat' or 'sugar tits' yet? That MIGHT verge on flirtatious/sexually degrading.

I hear it more often by men who are younger than me.
