"Went through the countryside last week but no lambs, my grandad used to have Christmas lambs but don't see them very often now" I saw the rams in the flocks in Dec....but given a sheep takes almost 5 months to gestate I don't expect to be seeing anything lamb wise till April or so... Christmas lambs mean tupping in about August...wonder if it's done indoors these days perhaps? Christmas lambs aren't something I'm very familiar with... | |||

Loads of people lamb Dec/Jan - They will be born indoors but turned out after a couple of days. Those with the rams in Nov/Dec will be outdoor lambing flocks, Lambing Apr/May. Hill flocks have tended to lamb either indoors or in-bye in March. | |||
