Don't they look cute in the cold weather? All their feathers puffed up! I love feeding birds in winter. Bought a nyjer seed feeder, gets the gold finches in.beautiful. |

We had one in our back garden one day. Considering we lived miles from fields it was a bit of a shock. I came home from school and it was gone. My dad said it flew away but we had a strange tasting pie for dinner that evening |

I love them and have another tame cocky robin who I'm feeding. The Goldfinches have shown a preference for my other feeds now and eat less nyger - maybe its so tiny and they want the equivalent of pie and chips in cold weather. |

My neighbour puts out a lot of bird seed and fat balls. The feeder gets swamped with starlings and pigeons. I've only seen a couple of Robins,but there are a lot of cats here |
