"Theory of Everything seems well touted but I've not seen it
Not sure about the rock giants that are Kasabian apparently "
Kasabian are brilliant, but not sure they were right for this gig! |

"Happy to see Benedict is there. I suspect he's going to be disappointed tonight but I'll get to perve. Mmmmmmmmm...."
It's such a good field of films this year. I think The Imitation Game was a better film than The Theory of Everything but Benedict can't beat Eddie Redmayne for performance.
Theory has won though.

"I hope Paddington doesn't win. I'm still holding out on that one.
Grand Budapest Hotel, Boyhood, Theory of Everything and The Imitation Game were my favourites to see.
"
Beckham said at the start his kids favourite was Paddington. What he didn't say was that he personally found the plot a bit challenging! |

Supporting Actor to J K Simmons for Whiplash is well deserved. I was terrified of him throughout that film.
He's a good actor anyway but I just didn't think of any of his other characters watching this film.

"Michael Keaton is looking good. Birdman is still on my list to get to.
"
Some serious totty there tonight, of all ages. Oooh, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong now. I've come over all unnecessary. |

Tom's a bit young for me but I've always liked Mark Strong.
All of these are films I have failed to see but were on my radar last year. I've got a lot to catch up on. Good to see Pride winning though.

"I'd put my money on pride to win the debut category
Imaginary winnings for me
Get yourself along to play the Lottery this week.
"
I thought it was a great film. Not seen '71 but wish if seen the northern soul film but it didn't seem to have such a long run. |

That was part of the problem for me. I saw them listed at the London Film Festival but couldn't get tickets and then they were on short runs and I missed them at the cinema.

"Gone girl was one if my favourites but I hadn't read the book and don't particularly want to tbh, it was a good film in it's own right.
I do need to watch the imitation game of the others.
"
As it's a thriller reading the book first would probably spoil the film. I haven't read the book or seen the film. My sister did both a regretted seeing the film.

"No surprise there with Eddie Redmayne winning. Close up on Benedict and he looks fine.
"
Boo, hiss, grr etc. How dare they snub my future husband.
I didn't know Henry Cavill was British? |

Fine, OK or fine, hot?"
OK and he just happens to be a little bit hot.
I can't find my BAFTA picture to put up for tonight.

Has Henry replaced Benedict in your affections? This isn't a bad thing, it means Lickety gets BC and you get HC. everyone's happpy |

Its been a red carpet of hot men tonight. Even Tom Cruise is looking good (although he's a bit short for me). |

"I'm smiling ear to ear for Boyhood winning Best Film.
It's a great film and so beautifully put together. The music complemented each scene, each moving on of age. It felt real.
"
Its been a deserving night. |

Why was Rik Mayall not mentioned in the others that have passed on last year?
I know he didn't do many films but sure they could have remembered him in movies like Drop Dead Fred and Churchill: The Hollywood Years. |

They missed Geraldine McEwan too. Maybe they didn't have time. |

They may appear on the scrolling thing at the end. Or is that only the Oscars?

I almost went because of Morgan Freeman but the trailer looked like every other "I've accessed all of my brain and now I can manipulate time/matter/the world" film so I didn't bother.

How Under the Skin didnt win is beyond me. Then again Hitchcock never won an Oscar.
Watched Foxcatcher this weekend and that takes tedious to a new level. So Im down the bookies to put some money on it at the Oscars! |

I was planning to see that so I might wait until I get a DVD.
