Music, rythems in pubs..

Probable showing my age hear but:-

Does it annoy anyone else when you go into a pub for " quiet drink.." often the over powering music spoils it.

It worse if going in for a meal, as you can hardly have a chat.

I love music majority of genres but isn,t there a time and place for it.

Yea, hoping for a quiet drink in a pub with blaring music, and then walking in through the door is probably where you're going wrong

I suffer from a bit of tinnitus and hate it if there is loud music on when I am trying to have a conversation, it just becomes one big noise.

Might be a good idea if I start to learn to lip read.

The pubs that play loud music aren't the ones we tend to go if we are going for a meal or a quiet drink. It's not difficult to find a pub that doesn;t have music

As a drummer in a rock band, I quite like loud music... although I'd rather it wasn't dance music.

On the other hand, if I want a quiet time... I'll choose a different pub.
