Went to sleep early on New Years Eve a normal happy couple.
By midday on New Year's Day, Mr Notts was in hospital. By the end of the day he knew he had a brain tumour. Now removed, but facing long treatment ahead and it's a nasty tumour that we're told will never go away.
Don't put off tomorrow what you would like to do today |

The worrying thing was his symptoms were so slight. A few words he couldn't say and a few instances of numbness in his hand.
One thing I must say though, is major big praise to the NHS. They were fab throughout. Bearing in mind this was exactly the time when they were being slammed in the media, Mr Notts went through two A&E depts in minutes on New Year's Day. |

That's good to hear.
How are you feeling about it all, do you have support? It can be a very lonely time for the person who needs to stay strong xx |

The journey will be long and there maybe a few bumps in the road along the way however I really hope things start to look up for you both....remember to look out for yourself as sometimes we forget about ourselves when someone close to us is unwell. Xx |

Big hugs guys. Life swoops in when you're least expecting it and knocks you off your feet.
Hope all goes well, and if you need to rant whinge or just babble the forums are surprisingly supportive considering it's a sex/swingers site! |

Yes we have good friends close by which have been great. It's times like these you find out who is really there for you, quite surprising!
GP has been good for me, I was barely sleeping and not eating much, but getting back on track now. Bracing ourselves for the next 6 or so weeks of radiation and chemo.
We celebrated our 6 month wedding anniversary a few days ago!

good luck to you both ...it might be worth checking out 'alternative theraphy' websites for this condition ...and before im shot down in flames for being a 'tree hugger' i am not for one moment suggesting that you dismiss conventional medicine ...just saying it is something that you could try and run in parrallel ...nothing to loose ...good luck and best wishes to you both |

What dreadful news for you and your families.
All I can say, from experience only, is any emotion you experience is completely normal. Don't hold them in, let it out in any way you want to.
Much, much love to you both. |

Thank you all for the lovely sentiments. You'd laugh ! Mr Notts has been outside doing DIY since 7am and I'm spending the day resting as much as I can. Apart from a big scar on his head you wouldn't know there was a problem! |

Crikey, that is a rough year. I'm glad things are still carrying on and you've not let your worlds go to pieces. I also hope that when he sees people look at the scar, he tells them he got it 'with the regiment, but I'm forbidden from talking about it'.... |

What a brilliant attitude, life is full of challenges, but with your positive outlook I trust and hope that everything will work out. Carpe Diem and good luck with the rehabilitation. |

" second appointment today where I've been close to passing out. How can I stop this, it's getting embarrassing...."
Is stress stopping you eating beforehand? Could it be low blood sugar? Can you take a moment before you go in to breathe in to the count of 12 then out to the count of 12 a couple of times to slow your breathing down, also wear layers so that you can cool down if you need to. X |

My life turned on a sixpence one Friday night when my husband couldnt feel his hand or remember his words.
A day later he had been diagnosed with a GBM brain tumour and life changed forever and I knew what it was like to feel your blood run cold with every new piece of information.(thats where you feel like passing out)
The 6 weeks radiotherapy was not all that bad, he got a bit tired towards the end of the course and was not badly affected by the chemo, having to wake up, take the anti sickness drug, wait, take the temozolomide, then go for radiotherapy each day took a bit of keeping track but we managed.
Please get in touch if you want to talk or another experience

My dad was the same. Lost an eye but still spent hours in his shed making us cabinets and wooden house numbers. |

This is a thread I started last year when we used to be on as 2innotts. Sadly I lost MrNotts in October. What a tragic year 2015 was
So 6 months widowed and I thought I'd sign back into Fab to see what's occurring. So hello again
I haven't a clue what to put on my profile, but my new found status seems to be an elephant in the room when people message.
Anyway not rushing into anything, just taking my time and hoping to meet some nice fun people at least |

Good Lord! This isn't a sympathy thread, have you seen the tiny, insignificant things people post about as if their world is ending.!?
