Has anyone been to this? Mrs ddc wants to take me, for Valentine's Day, as it apparently combines my two favouritest things: sex, and it's free.
Is it any good?
(And does that matter if it's about sex, and free!)

"Do you get a degree at the end and letters after your name?"
Hopefully a doctorate at least. I've always wanted to be one of those people who rushes up at the scene of an accident, ripping blouses open, shouting "make way, I'm a Doctor"!
I think it's meant to be something akin to the sex museum in Amsterdam, but it also sounds like it might be a bit 'high-brow' for us northern-types

Thanks, Frisky, I suspected as much.
Still, if there's a chance of bumping into Lickety.....
(Oi, Lickety, us northern types don't do hints, oop 'ere they call a spade a .... well, technically they call it a Newcastle Drainage Tool, but that's not important now... ) |

the good lands, the bad lands, the any where you may want me lands |
"Is this at the Welcome Collection? If so not been myself but everything I've ever been to there has been well worth seeing.
Yes, that's the one!
"
And I can recommend the Cafe, very homely and most welcoming! but then it would be...its the welcome collection |

It is a lovely place - and, on a Sunday you can park right outside for free!! I enjoyed that bit.....
The exhibition is mostly about the people who did serious 'scientific' sex studies like Kinsey, and at the end is all their literature available for reading, some of which was quite interesting, I sat down and read one chapter on something... hehe!
Oh and the Victorian vibrators are pretty funny!! |

Use your Oyster, Euston square underground station is a matter of metres along the road, Euston station is almost opposite and there are plenty of busses that continually pass the front entrance |

It's one of my favourite places for eating in that area. They provide good cake. |

In fact I'd go as far to say for food it's quite possibly one of the best venues along the Euston road; discounting the Gilbert Scoot that is for sheer oppulance and an atmosphere in which to entertain a friend |

Opulence?
Mrs ddc learnt long ago that opulence is something to gaze at with awe, I tell her it would ruin the anticipation and somehow make it grubby to spoil it with such everyday things as 'opening one's wallet'.
When no-ones looking, I may snaffle her a sugar cube if they have them - it will be Valentine's Day afterall!

Well worth a visit, a truely fascinating exhibition.
At busy times they operate a 'timed-ticket entry system', so if going on a weekend I suggest going before 2pm, otherwise they sometimes run out of tickets...
Amazing to consider just how far we have come in so many fields of science, medicine and engineering in the past 100 years, yet in many ways our attitudes to sex are still more victorian than the Victorians.

Mr DDC got the tickets though!
I enjoyed it, especially looking at how sexology has affected other social changes in society.
I now know that I should have a cock on me at all times to ward off the jinx. |

Only after running through my entire gamut of pleading, begging, reasoning, cajoling, persuading and appealing to the chivalrous side of the museum director: to help me to not disapppint a pair of lovely ladies on Valentine's Day. (All with my full puppy-dog-eyed expression!)
So the real star was the museum director, who found a way to sneak us all in afterall.
