not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

I received a phone call from my ex' a short while ago. My ex wasn't able to answer my questions so I've very sparse knowledge

She's had a call from another mother who's daughter has said my daughter has given her and another girl vodka at school (I don't know the others involved)

I've tried to educate my girls rather than prohibit alcohol, the times I've given my girls wine or a taste of my drink they've found it repulsive... If I'm honest It doesn't seem like her. I'm sure a lot of parents would say the same.

So best advice please.

Truro

Firstly you need to verify if it's true or not.

Ask your daughter, but don't vilify her

You really need to sit and talk to your daughter and find out her side of the story

My first question to my ex was that Jack. As I say I've little knowledge. Unfortunately I can't get over to see her tonight.

At this moment... she originally said no I didn't do it, she's now saying I only pretended, I'm less inclined to believe her when she's changed her story..

I always use the line about being more disappointed if they lie to me than tell me the truth, that it isn't the end of the world, tell me what happened and we will work it out.

Talking to her calmly is the best option

Teenagers often do things "out of character" because of peer pressure and the need to fit in, Sit her down listen and advise then hope she takes it all on board. We can't watch them 24/7 so you just need to hope she goes down the path you set.

Good luck xx
