What's in their pants:
Anyone on here made a connection about car choice and the type of person? Are you influenced by what your meet drives! There are cliches, do they hold?
My examples include:
people who's always trade in their hatchback when its two years old for a new one = unimaginative
Owning a ten year old Alfa (not the really nice ones) = aspirations but not the money
Vauxhall Corsa with a child seat in the back = married
Muddy land rover but wears a suit = desperately wants a motorbike
Tiny tiny smart car or similar = really not interested in dogging
Incidentally I drive a three year old TT, struggle to get out of it, often have to get out head first and drag my legs behind me......does that say something? |

"I dont know but if they turn up in a sports car or aston martin my knickers fall off"
I'd love to know what women who aren't into the modified car scene think of the proper JDM cars, evos, supra, skyline etc. cause let's be fair they look like a typical "chav car" especially the glanzas and the smaller hatchbacks they make |

Head out first, legs to follow: either your re security concious and looking around or you like oral first
I've a Cabriolet with heated seats: if I arrive with the roof down, does it mean I've already 'blown my top' |

It's not the JDMs that are chav cars it's the stock saxos/puntos/corsas/golfs that have been (very poorly) lowered debadged smothered in plastic kits and 3" cans. |

I had an RB5 for a while. I was told it's a boy racer's car too, which is strange because it's not easy to mistake me for a boy! |

Hmmmm not really fussed about the car, mine does everything I need it to do including taking the MTB's inside, track bike, climbing kit, etc without anything hanging off the outside.
If I want to go fast I open the garage
Car wise - you'll need to other side of £100K to even come close..... |

Unfortunately, my American Muscle car is currently off the road. I intend to do some major maintenence on it over the spring. I've had it for almost 12 years and plan on having another as soon as I can. Love my car.
In the meantime I currently have the use of a hateful japanese supermini, but at leadt this keeps me mobile - but I can't wait to get back behind the wheel of my Firebird |

That's what in getting at, the imports over here usually are lowered, with a giant exhaust and a park bench spoiler too boot.
My original point was these cars let's take a skyline or an Evo for example, will take on an Aston Martin no problem, both fast but totally different looks.

Mrs ddc runs a brand new Octavia, on a 5-year service and warranty.
Reliable, a good go-er, tidy exterior, cheap to run, easy maintenance, perhaps a little large at the rear and the butt of many of my jokes.
Still, the car's good though.

Drive a 16V 1.4 VW lupo, tiny wee car but nippy as for city driving.
Not too fussed what car I drive or what folks think of it,to me it's just transport.
Having said that,if I had a few grand to splurge I'd have a Pajero Evolution 4x4.
Was lucky enough to have a wee shot of one a while back n it was the most fun I've had in a motor while fully clothed |

if you have any respect for speed limits or other road users safety then it really doesn't matter how fast a car is. what is important is looks and elegance. no jap car comes close to an Aston. |

I've got a red one (apart from the dirt). I know the radio and cd player are quite good, as it drowns out the noise of the engine screaming. And I put new rubber mats in last year. I might get a new air freshener next week. Suggestions? |

As ex of mine had a skyline and I adored it. Was pretty gutted when he sold it. And there goes the end of that relationship!
I drive a tin can with a peel off lid. It's slow and clunky (British made, have been accustomed to French suspension) but I love the feeling of the wind in my hair when i'm cruising down my local lanes in the sunshine. |

As long as the meet isn't someone I've despised on the road, I'm OK. Volvo, BMW and some Audi drivers have had their balls ripped off. I'm polite as I dislike road rage and disrespect.
For the meets I've not noticed a pattern of stereotypes fulfillment. |

I've driven all sorts of cars, all fairly practical ish, but modern and nothing chavvy. Elegance / class over bragging about abilities to break speed limits, plus I drive a fair bit with work, so until that changes, I'm not gonna buy another great car to put miles on it.
That said, a classic car is next on my list |

Very nearly had one of these beauties but couldn't justifiy the overheads at the time so opted fit the VW CC. Nice car but not spectacular.
