They contain 1% of the toxins from a normal cigarette... that's why I feel 100 times better since switching to them. I don't cough & splutter anymore or get out of breath like I used to. That's good enough research for me |

I am an ex smoker never used an e-cig but do see the benifits of them.
!% is not bad if you concider what you get walling down a busy street with lots of traffice fumes.
I bet of they tested against that and an e-cig the e-cig would come out on top |

"Im a lot healthier and fitter since being on mine for two years now.
They will have to wrestler mine off me."
Same with me feel 100% better since packing in cigs for a vape stick
I'm putting £20 a week in a piggy bank for 12 months to see what I've saved
Plus I have a lot more umph in love making
Flossie is well pleased plus I don't stink of smoke
Heard on the radio this morning the main ingredient is the same as in a fog machine
And don't know of anyone who has died from weekend jiving so here's to a happy healthier 2015
I know before you say it's still bad for you but it's better than rolling my own cigs

The article states some research where mice were exposed to ecig vapour and them infected with influenza or pneumonia. Their rate of subsequent illness and recovery was noted.
Of those exposed to the vapour the infection rate was higher than the control group who weren't exposed to the vapour, their recovery slower and some even died.
I'm glad we confiscated our teenage son's ecig anyway. |

Ok I finally went and had a look on Google scholar because I was wondering if there might be significant nicotine in exhaled vapour - as an ex-addict avoiding that is very important to me, I do not want my nicotine receptors triggered again!
Obviously there are so many different liquids and cigs on the market that no-one can offer any conclusive research yet anyway, the systems vary so massively.
But there are an impressive array of dodgy chemicals in the vapour, even if most are at lower concentrations.
The bad news for me is there is indeed a passive inhalation effect, and small amount of nicotine is released in exhaled vapour, so I want to avoid inhaling it.
The other caution mentioned was getting the liquid on your hands, which I have done at times fiddling about with the kit - that can be absorbed like a nicotine patch, so you'd be wise to wash them immediately.
I do believe it is much safer for the smoker, but there is apparently still a risk of cardioavascular effects of nicotine itself, like cardiac arrhythmias and hypertension, and the possibility of excessive use/overdose, so I reckon using them for nicotine reduction might still be the best idea.

My problem with E Cigarettes is this,
Not being a smoker and not having anything against people who do smoke, why is it when sitting in a restaurant they have to be puffing away on the E Cig, if you were still smoking the real deal you wouldn't be able to do so, why is it you see people with these things permanently in their mouths?
Surely some sort of etiquette would prevail in these circumstances.

Ive just quit smoking and i'm now using an e-cig every now and again. its just made it easier for me to quit smoking real cigs. Plus you can buy containers of really low nicotine and containers with no nicotine at all i think i'll be done with smoking full stop very soon |

I use mine like I used to have a cig after the ban came in.
For eg, I dont smoke it in a restaurant or a pub.
I see people vaping away in shops, its wrong. |
