I couldn't be more excited.

First game Friday, my house becomes a rugby zone for the next few weeks.

Anyone going to any games? I'm getting to three Ireland games. (Best Christmas presents, ever!)

Looking forward to the friendly banter with all you sexy Fabbers.

In the nicest possible way, I hope/expect you're going to have a very disappointing two months! That said, I hope you demolish England on Friday before losing heavily a fortnight later! It's Ireland's championship again. Third grand slam?

"what is that sweet chariot thing all about?

No offence taken, I wasnt sure where it came from, apart from it being an old slave song, so I just googled it. Apparently in 1988 having only scored 1 try in 2 years, England scored 6 against Ireland. Chris Oti scored a hat trick and some school kids who had a school tradition of singing it at school whenever they scored a try, did it at Twickenham and the crowd picked up on it and it stuck.

Fucking Hell, it came from a group of school kids, ha.

I would never of guessed if you said 'Have a go'.

1988 dosent seem that long ago

oh... i hope i am wrong... its just that england have the most depth... and with the welsh and irish with the amount of injuries they have will take away their strength....

if you said "everyone fit.. who has the best 15" I would absolutely say ireland!

the french will go "french" and be as flakey as ever...

They probably won't decide until the day before about the roof. As for Adam Jones, I don't think he's put the jersey on for the last time, he'll be back!

All the real contenders have injury problems. Remember that Ireland had huge injury issues for the Autumn games. We'll only see who came through well when we see who finished second to Ireland at the end of the championship! (Fingers and toes all crossed and tongue firmly in my cheek.)

Sickened that Foley is out for the series though. He did so well in November.

I think the title decider is on Friday - will be interesting to see whether our backs can match the Welsh backs - I doubt it'll be the forward phases game from Wales no matter how much Englabd try to force it! Definitely need armitage for the World Cup though that man is a beast!

Played against George Ford when I was younger (claim to fame ha), took us apart within 30 mins hopefully he can dictate play for us on Friday - I reckon the key is with him!

I've got tickets for the final game against France as well - I'm like a kid in a sweet shop!

We win this though then I'd put money on us reaching semis for the World Cup if not then I reckon it's Wales's title

If we play to our potential we should win a grand slam. BUT we should have won it last year. It's actually Wales that worries me the most. I would like us to do well in the RWC but winning a third Grand Slam is what I really want.

as a pseudo "munsterman" it pains me to ever pick a person who plays for leinster ahead... I can see why joe did it.

its only italy and at least he is playing next to conor so he will know his game, and since hopefully sexton will be back next week... it gives him a little game time....

There is 58 Million people in England, you cant pick from all of them but quite a huge amount will be available for selection.

You only need 22 players approx, there shouldnt be a worry about injuries.

Reply privately (closed, thread got too big)

Sadly, not 58 million professional rugby players. Injuries are a part of sport, but you always want your best 15 out there which we won't have, simple as. Take your best players out of any team and it will weaken you. On the flip side, if we do win tonight we wil have beaten the Welsh with our reserve side

I hope not. For Ireland, a Wales _ England draw is probably best but the media reaction to an England win is SOOOOO revoltingly gloating that after time you just enjoy seeing England demolished.

As an Ireland supporter, I should remember England coming to play a match in Dublin in 1972, after the Welsh cowardly refusal.

Of course, if they lose, then it will be England B and they're still (media view) going to win the RWC! No other country has any injury issues of course!

i actually like vern and think he will do a brilliant job with the scots... I think if they can win the italy game and snatch one of the other 4... I think that would be a good championship...

if the france game was in edinburgh instead of paris tomorrow. i would have tipped them to win... I really don't think much of this french side that has been picked.....

Eeeekkk I wish I was in the stadium. Awesome atmosphere!!!

Two years ago I was on my way to meet MrP for this game in Cardiff. My car hit ice and I ended up spinning across the M4 into a tree. Fire engine, ambulance and hospital later, poor Mr P missed the match... As did my dad who was called from the pub and had to drive past my car wreck to the hospital...

This year I'm staying inside
