"who's the most famous person from your town or city, if you live in one of the big cities then narrow it down to your district, from my town think it's got to be Ricky Wilson," . Pete postlethwaite,,,,Kerry katona,,,,, Chris Evans...... George formby....... Sue Johnston ( although she lives here don't think she was born here) ,,,Steven Arnold......oh and Oliver Cromwell stayed in Warrington and has 2 famous things dedicated to him.l,

We've got a member of one direction living a couple of miles away (spotted in local supermarket this morning) in a £5.1m little pad :p
Then there's Sir David Attenborough, penelope Keith, Eric Clapton, Brian May and Brian Blessed etc etc

Jilly Cooper lives in the next village, Leo Baxendale lives in ours. If you consider the nearest Town and surroundng areas we've had Eddie 'the eagle' Edwards, Edwin Budding (inventer of the lawn mower), Laurie Lee, 'Jack' Russell. |

Elizabeth Fry was born in Norwich which I didn't know before this thread.
Loads of famous people were born near here or went to school/university here but I can't find many actually born in Norwich.
Hugh Jackman's mum lives here apparently and he claims his favourite pub is in Norwich. |

A friend of mine is the brother of a member of a boyband supergroup
Russel Kane is a local lad.
I believe Phil Jupitus lives locally too.
Rachel Riley is a local too.

Someone from steps drinks in my local. The blonde woman.
Ray Houghton
Danny Dyer drinks around here but he doesn't live here.
Half the cast of TOWIE drink in a pub up the road and it is often filmed on our high road.
Half the Spurs team and a lot of the West Ham players live around here.
Bobby Moore & Ron Greenwood lived here. |
