I know a couple in the Manchester area. All depends what ideas you have. One is great at traditional asian/oriental, one specializes in traditional designs black/grey work ( mandala/day of dead/swallows etc
One is definitely a more modern based tattooist from realism to comic book art.
The tattoo tea party is in Manchester in a few weeks, come along to that, great way of scouting for an artist |

Maneki neko in Northwich is brilliant if you see Lisa Toye!
Minerva Lodge in Chester is amazing.. No flash work in there all tattoos are original designs done by the artists and they have just opened 7 days a week and til late so helps the people who work office hours a lot  |
