Ok just had a huge clearout and have some pretty nice dresses and tops which I am getting rid of, some have barely or not been worn!
Just wondering how best to get rid, dont really like giving to charity shops here as the prices they are putting stuff on here is getting silly.. Wondered if there was a way to pass them on to any CD's just starting out or similar and doing so in a safe way. |

I know what you mean, I have quite a few dresses myself, though I don't think they will be the type that TV's would want, they were bought for as work wear, just never got round to wearing them due to the office having air conditioning and I don't like the cold x |

our local charity shop refused to take a big bag of clothing we took in as they had too much stock
annoyed me so much as I had spent months convincing my mum to get rid of my late dads clothes ...their loss |

I had a similar situation except they said "we're not accepting any more donations today, come back tomorrow". And no, there was no sorry, please or thank you.
I'd gone out of my way that day to take the stuff in and I'd carried it, in a big box (it wasn't clothing), a fair distance because there was no parking there.
Not only did I not go back the following day, I never supported that charity again. If they can turn away donations and be thoroughly ungrateful about it, they clearly don't need the support.
I took the stuff to a different charity shop. |
